For years, Deanna has worked with Lilly in group classes and private sessions, and Lilly is doing so much better. Lilly still has a ways to go, but through the training, she has learned to trust us, and lots of good behaviors too. Before training with Deanna, our family wasn't able to do certain things because Lilly wasn't socialized and couldn't be left with a dog sitter. Now, we can have more fun because we have been through this training with Lilly.”

“Skipper Doo is a rescue who lost his owner and is working through that traumatic experience. He immediately developed a strong bond with my husband, but doesn't want to let anyone else close enough to bond. Routine things like walks and trips to the vet were challenging, and we needed help. Through months of private lessons and group classes, Deanna helped us make this situation comfortable for Skipper so that he felt safe, and manageable for our family while our little guy builds trusting relationships. It's going to take time, but now that Deanna showed us what to do, we are confident that we will get there. In the meantime, Skipper is making progress every day. He tries new things and steps out of his comfort zone. He works hard for each breakthrough, and we love to celebrate them with him and share them with Deanna, who made this all possible.”

“Ms. Deanna is a very patient and knowledgeable trainer. She is a keen observer of dog and human behavior and can clearly explain how they two are related. She interpreted some of the dog's behaviors for us, and gently guided us to improve how we use obedience commands and take leadership with Hazel. She had us practice the skills with Hazel, explaining their importance, and breaking them down when necessary. We really appreciate her love of dogs, and compassionate approach so that Hazel is not harmed in any way. After two sessions, we feel more empowered in how to walk with Hazel in public spaces and manage her reactivity so that Hazel understands that we are in charge, and she can look to us for guidance. After a few weeks of practice on our own, Hazel is much better at looking to us during walks, less reactive to bikers and others passing by us, and we feel more equipped to help her relax. We appreciate Ms. Deanna's answering our questions and supporting our dog training.”
