🐾 Puppy Training
(for puppies under 5 months)
Start your pup off on the right paw with a fun, positive, and confidence-building class with Deanna as your instructor at A Pup's Valley! 
 

  • Learn house manners through positive reinforcement

  • Encourage healthy socialization with both people and other puppies
     

  • Practice essential commands: come, sit, down, wait, leave it, take it, and settle
     

  • Address common puppy challenges such as house-training, jumping, chewing, leash pulling, and puppy biting

  • Pricing: $150 - 4 week class

🐾 Basic Obedience
(for dogs 5 months and older)
No matter your dog’s starting point, this class is designed to strengthen communication, build focus, and improve everyday manners with Deanna as your instructor at A Pup's Valley!  This class builds on the basics with commands like stay and heel—no puppy class required!

  • Covers essential obedience skills with additions such as stay and heel
     

  • Practice advanced loose-leash walking for calmer strolls
     

  • Reinforce and expand on core commands from Puppy Class
     

  • Address additional behavior topics tailored to older puppies and adult dogs

  • Pricing: $250 for 6 week class

🐾 Fun & Games
Strengthen your bond while teaching your dog fun, impressive skills! In this class, you and your pup will learn 10 tricks from the A.K.C. Novice Trick Dog and Intermediate Trick Dog lists with Deanna as your instructor at A Pup's Valley! Upon demonstrating these skills, your dog can earn one or both official AKC titles. Pre-Requisite: must have previously completed a Puppy, Basic or CGC Class.

  • Potential Novice Tricks: paw, high five, sit/down (hand signal only), crawl (3 body lengths), find it, get in box, sit in box, paws up, get on, spin, touch, push-ups, focus, tunnel
     

  • Potential Intermediate Tricks: catch, crawl (5 body lengths), go to your place, interactive game, find owner, advanced hand-signal commands (sit, down, come, stand, head down, heel with auto-sits), leg weave, paws up on arm, push button/bell, roll over, shell game, sit pretty, wave
     

  • Enjoy dog games that boost learning, strengthen your relationship, and keep training fun
     

  • Learn a process that makes it easy to teach your dog almost any trick

  • Pricing: $250 for a 6 week class

🐾 Canine Good Citizen® (CGC) Class
For pups who have completed Basic Obedience Training (with us or elsewhere), this class teaches the 10 skills required for the AKC Canine Good Citizen certification with Deanna as your instructor at A Pup's Valley! These skills promote good manners at home and in the community, while deepening the bond between you and your dog. Proof of successful Basic Obedience completion is required.
 

The 10 CGC Skills Taught:

  1. Accepting a friendly stranger

  2. Sitting politely for petting

  3. Appearance and grooming

  4. Walking on a loose leash ("Out for a Walk")

  5. Walking calmly through a crowd

  6. Sit and down on command, and staying in place

  7. Coming when called

  8. Reacting politely to another dog

  9. Remaining calm around distractions

  10. Supervised separation
     

Upon successful completion, your dog can be evaluated for the official AKC CGC title.

Pricing: $350 for a 7 week class (Evaluating optional)

🐾 Private Consultations
Sometimes a one-on-one approach is best. Private sessions are tailored to your dog’s age, needs, and your family’s schedule.
 

🐾Puppy Jumpstart In-Home
(4-hour program)
For puppies who can’t attend Puppy Training class, this program builds a strong foundation in manners and skills (minus group socialization).
 

  • House manners using positive reinforcement
     

  • Basic commands: come, sit, down, wait, leave it, take it, settle
     

  • Address common puppy challenges: house-training, jumping, chewing, leash-pulling, and puppy biting
     

  • Customized to your puppy’s specific needs

  • Pricing: $320 for a 4 hour program (2 - 4 in-home sessions)

🐾Basic In-Home Training & Behavior Support
Bring training right to your doorstep with customized, one-on-one guidance. Whether you want to teach basic obedience or work through specific challenges, we’ll create a plan that fits your dog’s needs and your family’s lifestyle.
 

Skills may include:

  • Sit, Wait/Stay, Come-Sit
     

  • Loose-leash walking
     

  • Leave it
     

  • Settle down
     

Behavior topics may include:

  • House manners
     

  • Greeting people at the door
     

  • Excessive barking
     

  • Polite neighborhood walking

  • Basic training In-Home
    $320 for a 4 hour program (2 - 4 sessions)
